Study Purpose/Description

Researchers from the University of Newcastle are inviting individuals to participate in an anonymous online survey to explore the relationship between FoMO (Fear of Missing Out) and addictive eating.

The survey will also assess related factors such as overeating behaviours (reward-driven eating, binge eating), mental health symptoms, and traits related to boredom proneness.

What’s Involved?

Participants are asked to complete a 20-minute anonymous online survey with multiple-choice questions on eating behaviours, including addictive eating and reward-driven eating, FoMO, boredom proneness, and mental health.

Recruitment criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you are:

  • Aged 18 years and older
  • Currently live in Australia
  • Not currently breastfeeding
  • Not currently pregnant
