Asthma and Extreme Heat Online Survey

Study Purpose/Description

Researchers at Heat and Health Research Incubator, The University of Sydney want to hear from people with asthma about their experiences in coping with asthma during periods of extreme heat in a short online survey. Extreme heat includes situations such as summer or heatwaves.

The findings of this study will be used to develop an asthma-tailored set of guidelines for helping protect people with asthma during future extreme heat events.

What’s Involved?

Participants are asked to complete a short online survey. This survey asks questions about:

  • You and your asthma (age, gender, education, symptoms, etc.)
  • Your asthma triggers
  • Your experience managing asthma in the extreme heat.

Recruitment criteria

The study is open to all adults aged 18 years or older who:

  • live in Australia
  • have asthma
