Enforcement responses to low-level drug offenses in Victoria, such as use or possession, impact individuals' health, well-being, justice pathways, and social support needs. Study Purpose/Description

This study aims to understand the experiences of Victorians who are detected for low-level drug offences, and identify their health and social support needs, with a view to improving health and community safety outcomes.

This study is funded by the Victorian Government Department of Health.

What’s Involved?

Taking part in this study involves answering a series of interview questions via telephone.

The interview should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

Recruitment criteria

You may be eligible to participate in this study if:

  • Are aged 18+
  • Reside in Victoria
  • Have been detected for minor (personal) drug use or possession in the last five years.
