Perceived Relevance of Consequences of Diagnostic Labelling

Researchers from Bond University's Institute for Evidence-Based Healthcare are seeking insights from health consumers regarding the most effective methods of communicating health condition screening information, specifically non-cancer health conditions.

Study Purpose/Description

Health consumers are people who use health services, as well as their family and carers. This includes people who have used a health service in the past or who could potentially use the service in the future.

Bond University researchers want to better understand how best to communicate routine health screening for non-cancer health conditions to health consumers through an online focus group.

The results of the focus group will help researchers find better ways to communicate risks and benefits of screening, as well as possible diagnostic labelling.

What’s Involved?

Participation involves joining a 90-minute online focus group with a small group of individuals to discuss how best to communicate to routine health condition screening for non-cancer health conditions to health consumers.

If you are interested in taking part in this study, please complete the screening questionnaire here.

You can take part in this study if you are:

  • aged between 40 and 65 years of age; and,
  • have not been diagnosed with a chronic and debilitating health condition and/or are not undergoing testing for such a health condition.
